If you love the idea of truly getting away from it all, then you should definitely consider a trip to Silver Creek Plunge Idaho. Far off the beaten path and over 20 miles from the nearest town, this hidden gem nestled in the Boise National Forest has a natural hot springs. While enjoying a relaxing soak, you can take in some of Idaho’s most spectacular scenery. A variety of fun awaits your entire family, including camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, four-wheeling, and playing volleyball.

Location/Directions

From McCall take Highway 55 south to Banks. Turn east onto Banks-Lowman Road towards Garden Valley. Turn left when you come to Middle Fork Road and head towards Crouch. Continue on Middle Fork Road for about 22 miles to Silver Creek Plunge.

Hours/Seasons

Silver Creek Plunge is open year round. However, during the winter months the only way you can get there is via snowmobile. The road usually opens around the middle of April, but through the spring you’ll need a vehicle with 4-wheel drive to navigate the deep mud.

Pool hours: 9 am to 10 pm every day except Wednesday, when it’s open from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Fees:

Day passes for the pool are $10 for adults and $8 for children under 12. Seniors 60 and over also pay only $8. For an evening pass (8 pm to 10 pm only), it is $8 per person if you don’t have a day pass.

Camping is $15 per night per site or $250 per month with the permanent camper program. Firewood and propane are available for an additional fee.

Cabin fees range from $69 to $119 per night.

Silver Creek Plunge offers plenty of recreational fun for the entire family including swimming, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, and a playground for children. There are plenty of trails for hiking, motorcycle riding, and four-wheeling. Silver Creek is stocked frequently with rainbow trout during the summer, so bring your fishing gear. There’s also a convenience store that is open from 9 am to 10 pm year round, and a snack bar that’s open during the winter months.
