Overview

Nestled in the beautiful southeastern valley dubbed “Les Bois” (French for “wooded”) by the pioneers, Boise offers all the amenities of urban living without feeling like a big city. Just a 107 mile drive from McCall, Boise is rich in history. Lewis and Clark passed through the area in 1805, and the city became the state’s capital in 1864. Located at the foothills of the Boise National Forest, the surrounding area offers a variety of outdoor recreation all year round.

Getting Here

The scenic drive from Boise to McCall takes a little over two hours, with plenty of beautiful spots along the way to picnic, hike, fish, or camp. To get to McCall, head out on W. Chinden Blvd (US-20). Turn right on N. Glenwood St. (ID-44), then left on W. State St. (ID-44) to Hwy 55. Turn north onto Hwy 55 which will take you to McCall.
