What can I do and see at Granite Lake?

A little under an hour drive from McCall, Granite Lake provides a nice escape. Enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and water activities.

  • Fishing: Spinners and fly rods are great for fishing Granite Lake.
  • Camping: This rustic campground has seven sites available on a first come first serve basis. There is one vault toilet and no running water.
  • Hiking: A handful of hiking trails leave right from the campground. Circumnavigate the lake or stroll along the East Fork of Fisher Creek.
  • Kayaking and Canoeing: Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake and many enjoy bringing their own sea kayak or canoe to explore its waters.

Where is Granite Lake?

Granite Lake is about 13 miles due north of McCall near Meadows. From McCall, follow signs to Brundage Ski Resort and Brundage Reservoir. Continue north on Granite Lake Road and follow all the way to Granite Lake. It's about 19 miles from downtown McCall, Idaho but it takes a little under and hour to make the drive.
